The Showtime Racing Fuel Funny Car makes its return to the European Drag Racing scene for 2025, with Bob Jarrett as team owner and NHRA veteran Terry Haddock as driver!
With the amount of runs Terry has under his belt, his experience in Fuel Funny Car racing will go unmatched in 2025 and will be incredibly beneficial in our goal of securing that #1 on the side of the car come season’s end!
We are so incredibly excited to see what we can do in the Funny Car Cup in 2025.
Terry has over 25 years of experience in both Funny Car and Top Fuel, regularly competing in the NHRA Mission Foods series in North America. He is the owner of Terry Haddock Racing, and he drives and tunes out stateside too.
In 2024, Terry ran his first 3-second pass at the season-opener at Gainesville.
We opened the 2025 season at Easter and the Festival of Power at Santa Pod Raceway, by qualifying #1, winning the event and also resetting both ends of the European Funny Car record – a staggering 4.124 at a huge 307.88mph in the final had the team more than elated!
Team Owner - Bob Jarrett
Showtime car and team owner celebrated his 50th year in drag racing with a win at the Easter Festival of Power. It was Easter 1975 when Bob drove his first Jaguar-powered competition altered to a 15-second run at Santa Pod. Two more Jaguar-powered cars followed before he wheeled the famous Stripteaser minivan to multiple championship wins. It was now 1984, and from this point, Bob had his eye on just one thing. ‘Funny Cars’
It was not long before his wish turned into reality, and he was asked to drive the Panic Monza Funny Car. Winning a few races along the way, his most significant driving success came at the 1985 World Finals, where he defeated all drivers from America, Sweden and the UK.
The first Showtime Car for Bob came in 1987 when he visited Tom Hoover in Minneapolis. Bob remembers clearly. “It was December, minus 15 degrees, and my ears had turned blue. The next day we loaded the car into the front of a 747”
In 1988, Bob moved to Santa Barbara, California, where he still resides today. Since then, 8 more variants of the Showtime cars have appeared, and he openly admits that Funny Cars are still his life’s work, where his organising and tuning skills continue to impress.
